I have worked on a handful of database application projects. While working with programmers as an End-User cum System Analyst, I learnt a lot about programming and software development project management. I am sharing some of my understanding that I developed about managing such projects while working on those projects. At, present, I have uploaded two articles related to these topics. I shall upload more articles in due course.
Although the programming actvities are interesting, I place more emphasis on application of I.T. for adding convenience in our day to day work or using it in special purpose projects. Since ordinary users generally don’t have any programming background, user interfaces are the only means for them to work with applications. This happens especially while extracting relevant data that are already available in the databases and processing & presenting those, as required. Therefore, apart from ensuring the accuracy of results generated by code lines, I tend to improve any existing user interfaces so as to make actual users comfortable while using the applications.
I have developed a handful of small programs also. I am making these available to all interested persons, as freeware programs from my side, just like other specialist programmers have made their work available as freeware. I am not making any big claim about usefulness of my programs. But I hope, those will serve the intended purpose.
